Event Duration: 120 minutes

Join us for a special screening of Deep Listening, directed by Helen iles, to celebrate its launch to Australian audiences.

An insightful exploration of intentional communities across Australia. Featuring local lifestyle activists, including Greg Foyster (Changing Gears) and Giselle Wilkinson (Sustainable Living Foundation), this exploration of the alternative living scene highlights what it’s like to live in communities based on respect for the land, for indigenous peoples and for one another.

Beautifully shot against the rich diversity of the  Australian landscape, Deep Listening includes illuminating interviews not only with some of the leading lights in the Australian alternative living scene, but also with Aboriginal elders who share their own wisdom on the indigenous way of Dadirri or deep listening, which translates as a form of connection to land and people also underpinning the “alternative” way of life.
