Cara Ellison is paid by the internet to travel the world and write about videogames.

As the author of the successful Embed with Games series, Cara Ellison has a uniquely global perspective on what it means to make games today. In the last year, she’s journeyed to Paris, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, and now, Melbourne, in order to live with and write about those who make games. She’s written for The Guardian, New Statesman, Rock Paper Shotgun, and PC Gamer.

Cara Ellison will be speaking about her experiences, and what she’s learned about the world’s game makers through her travels, followed by a brief Q&A.
