Event Duration: 135 minutes

The East Pointers are banjoist Koady Chaisson, fiddle player Tim Chaisson, and guitarist Jake Charron. The cousins Chaisson hail from Prince Edward Island, Canada, part of the sixth generation of a heralded legacy of fiddlers and folk musicians. When Jake would visit PEI or the Chaissons were passing through Ontario, a late-night kitchen party of traditional and original tunes, some with an Irish influence, some Scottish, others rooted in the Maritimes, was sure to follow. After a few months together, the trio realized it was time to take the kitchen party on the road.

Fresh back from their four-month residency in Belfast, Tolka have returned with their new album One House, produced by Brian Finnegan. This original collection of music draws on the fabric of Australian-Irish music to re-imagine tradition in a contemporary context. Project funded by the Australian Council for the Arts.
