Join us for the launch of Fluid Prejudice by Lawyer and animal activist Naty Guerrero-Diaz.
Melbourne University's Graham Willett will speak about the significance of the Gay Liberation Movement and anti-assimilationist queer politics in the 1970's.
Immigration lawyer and border activist Sanmati Verma will discuss the construction of the border and it’s relationship to race.
There will also be an exhibition of selected works from the publication on display throughout the evening.
Fluid Prejudice, an anthology of comics and drawings reflecting on under-represented and marginalised visions of Australian history. Edited by Sam Wallman, the book features 175 pages of work by 50 artists, spanning the last 150 years, and is proudly supported by the City Of Melbourne through the Arts Grants Program.
