It all began 25 years ago when The Drummer informed The Guitar Player that a rehearsal studio was booked. Musical acquaintances were called. Upon arrival at the studio, The Singer wrote a song about The Drummer. The Keyboard Player needed an instrument and The Bass Player was a radical.

Very soon, The Other Guitar Player told them the band was required for a gig in Barooga, NSW. They waited nervously in a motel on a hot December day, listening as dozens of motorcycles made their way to the party at a secluded farmhouse in the middle of endless plains. As dawn chased an electrical storm dancing on the horizon, the band played for the assembled bikers. Soon Brainstorm became a regular gigging band around Melbourne.

Today, 25 years on, they prepare to celebrate their friendship and complete failure to acknowledge any industry in their music apart from the constant effort to meet, play and record.
