New Voices Launch 1: Pinetorch by Ainslee Meredith

The New Voices Series will see four outstanding poets in Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales mentored by established poets on their way to publishing their first collected works.  The project is an innovative continuation of the Australian Poetry New Voices Series program, focusing on publishing poets who are under the age of 25. The poets will each have their work published in 2013.

The first New Voices publication to be launched is Pinetorch by Melbourne poet Ainslee Meredith ... very proudly presented by Express Media in partnership with Australian Poetry and with the support of the Ian Potter Foundation.

Ainslee Meredith is a poet and cultural conservation student from Melbourne. Her poems have appeared in several print and online literary journals, and she is a past recipient of the John Marsden Prize for Young Australian Writers (Poetry). Pinetorch is her first collection of poetry.
