Luka Lesson and Omar Musa, two winners of the Australian Poetry Slam, will work closely with participants to hone their poems into dynamic performances ready for the stage.

The workshop will involve building a poem from the ground up - writing the poem, editing it, physicalising and rehearsing it and finally, performing the work in front of an audience.

During the four hours, Luka and Omar will provide advice and coaching, sharing their tips on dealing with writer's block, as well as the use of pace, changes of tone and staging to bring a poem to life. It will be a hands on, high energy workshop with two internationally recognised performance poets.
