Tristen Bird deals in subtle, intimate, mood-driven storytelling. Born of a country-folk musician father, he turned to his craft early, developing a style that utilises textured finger style guitar and combines stringed sound scapes.

The Melbourne based singer songwriter is living every aspiring artists dream. Armed with his debut album produced by ARIA award winner Shane O'Mara, Tristen is excited at his future prospects as he prepares to embark on criss-crossing the country to promote his debut long player Horse to Water.

The record also features a haunting duet with Triple J unearthed winner Abbie Cardwell and the Dobro talents of brother Jeb throughout.

Horse to Water is set for release in October this year and will be accompanied with a national tour throughout October and November.

The record will be released with a social conscience and will be combined with a number of unique conservation fund raising events for Birds Australia, an organisation close to Tristen. Birds Australia manage conservation projects for bird species that are on the brink of extinction and to support them, Tristen will be promoting these efforts throughout the album release tour and donating to the Birds Australia EagleCAM project.

Joining Tristen will be The Stillsons, Esther Lamb and Mike Antoniou.
