Hiyaku - Artists Benefit Japan

Event Duration: 210 minutes
On March 11, 2011, an earthquake struck off the coast of Japan, creating a devastating tsunami that swept over the northern part of Japan. About 23,000 people died or disappeared across Japan's northeast coastline and another 80,000 were forced to evacuate because of the radiation threat from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant. Many livelihoods have been affected and it will be years before the region will experience full recovery.
Melbourne’s artists have come together to show that even after the crisis has moved off the front page, we continue to support the people of Japan.
