Don't look up. The Day of the Pigeons is upon us.

Pigeons, a not-for-profit children's literacy organisation will be holding a benefit gig to raise money for their fantastic programs. Bringing to the stage their literary blues and folk are Melbourne's Twenty Seven Winters and Floyd Thursby. MC Michaela McGuire will be hosting 'Children's Authors vs. The World', a literary quiz that will test the mettle of such well-read luminaries as Tony Wilson, The Wheeler Centre's Michael Williams, and children's author Andrew McDonald. And DJ Jess McGuire of RRR will be spinning erudite tunes. What better way to spend a school night?
