Laura Jean ends her year–long country retreat with an east coast tour in December, joined by a very special guest. Norwegian mythological–pop wonder Jenny Hval and her band will co-headline the tour, making the long journey from Oslo to Oz.

In 2006, Jenny was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy for her album To Sing You Apple Trees, a heady mix of pop, poetry and rampant sexuality. She went on to make the critically acclaimed album Medea in 2008, a medieval inspired song-cycle invoking the tragic Greek heroine.

Laura Jean has been busy for the past year making demos, cautiously re-learning the saxophone and studying grammar. She will be playing solo with electric and acoustic guitars, reinterpreting old favourites and previewing songs off her forthcoming album A Fool Who’ll.

Jean and Hval will release a split single to celebrate the tour, featuring exclusive, non-album tracks. It will only be available at shows.
