2009 has seen The Weekend People finally finish recording their debut LP, almost three years in the making and due for release later this year.

With so much time spent locked away in the studio recently, the band are eager to make a return to the stage. Their shows are
intense, high-energy affairs, showcasing a real diversity in songwriting, influenced by everyone the likes of Joe Strummer, The Smiths, Radiohead and Leonard Cohen.

They are joined by d.rogers & they who ride the tiger. The d.rogers sound is gentle, but there's also an edge. Its been called folk music for the rock crowd or pop music for the folk crowd. His album, Sparks on the Tarmac launches on June 21st.
