The media landscape in this country is undergoing massive change. In fact, with new cross-media ownership laws being passed, that landscape is pretty much going to be bulldozed, making way for a bright new future that nobody really knows a whole lot about.

But what does that mean for small regional radio networks like the one operating out of Cooperwaggaratta? And, less importantly, what does it mean for its long-serving breakfast radio announcer Gibbo? Well, he'll probably have to learn how to kill cows, since the abattoir is about the only source of sustainable employment in town.

Radio is full of small-time radio types. But suddenly a bunch of bankers fancy themselves as rather large-time radio types. So how does a regional town deal with their regional radio station being disconnected? Stay tuned for The Wireless.
