EVENT POSTPONED ...

Just because 40 artists aren't going to be judged in Rotterdam in May, doesn't mean that we can't get get together and make our assessment of the 2020 entries later in the year!.

STAY TUNED!

PALAIS-HEPBURN, Hepburn Springs

The month of May approaches, and so it's time to brace yourself for the annual harvest festival that celebrates everything that is joyous, mournful, over-excitable, underdone, adventurous, predictable, addictive and transcendent about popular music.

It's time, in short, for the 65th Eurovision Song Contest!

Since it was first broadcast from 1956 from Lugano in the Swiss Italian canton of Ticino, Switzerland, Eurovision has not ony become the world's longest running TV show, but also one of its most watched non-sporting events.  Imagine 500 million people all tuning in for the AFL Grand Final!

This year, all musical roads lead to the Rotterdam, Netherlands, where 39  European nations - augmented  by a plucky young upstart redefining "outside chance", and Old Blighty, who must be wondering at their continued participation - will again fight nations in song to take the 2020 Eurovision crown.

Thanks to the magic of time zones, we're putting on a party to celebrate and JUDGE all 26 Grand Finalists the night BEFORE the Grand Final officially explodes onto TV screens across Europe, UK and Australia.

There'll be live performances  and insights from cabaret super-stars (and Eurovision tragics)  Ash Flanders, Geraldine Quinn and Casey Bennetto,
There'll be patrons in sparkly costumes and giddy spirit,
There'll be remarkably tasty cocktails to further inform your appreciation,
There'll be prizes for Best Dressed,
There'll be the sweeps and in-house voting,
There'll be big screen projections, VJs and dancing until late.
In short, there'll be Eurovision splendour galore.

And by the end of the night, we'll not only know which nation's song won Hepburn's heart, but have raised essential funds for the Swiss Italian Festa later in the year

So put together your most fabulous Eurovision outfit, prepare your list of song requests, put on your dancing shoes and join us for Eurovision 2020!

In the words of a sextet of wise Russian grandmothers in 2012: "Party For Everybody - Dance!"

Proost, Saluti, Prost & Cheers!

All proceeds will be donated to Swiss Italian Festa now returning 21st to 24th October 2021.
