The Skirt Network and Jeez Louise are holding a one-off special event to celebrate ladies in comedy.
You're invited to watch some of the best up-and-coming female comics as they present previews from their Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows. It's a delectable sampler plate of funny women, hosted by Skirt co-founder Celia Pacquola:

Celia Pacquola (Am I Strange?): Appeared on ROVE, Best First Time Entrant Raw Comedy Finals, 2007 The Comedy Zone, Up Front 08, writer Good News Week, writer and performer for The Comedy Hour on ABC radio and broadcast her weekly radio show Red Hot Go on Fox FM, and winner BEST COMEDY SHOW at the Melbourne Fringe 08.

And the always dashing and hilarious Oliver Clark.

Oliver Clark: Performed in many Melbourne International Comedy Festivals to date, as well as on the Comedy Channel’s ‘Stand‐ Up Australia,’ upcoming series ‘6 Beers Of Separation’ Not a lady, but a lady lover…

Felicity Ward (Felicity Ward's Ugly As A Child Variety Show): Star of The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, The 3rd Degree, several appearances on the ABC's Spicks and Specks, hosted The Comedy Hour on 774 ABC, Chopper's Fuckin Bingo and won the Melbourne Airport Award for Best Newcomer at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe

Geraldine Quinn (Hex and The City): Toured with Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, appeared on the Comedy Channel (Stand Up Australia) and twice guested on ABC Radio's The Comedy Hour. SEXDEATHBOWIE earned Quinn four and five star reviews internationally during 2007 seasons in Adelaide, Melbourne and Edinburgh, won Victoria's Green Room Award for Best Emerging Cabaret Artiste

Alison Bice (My Terrible, Horrible No Good, Very Bad Life): RAW national finalist, several stand-up appearances on The Comedy Channel’s Stand Up Australia, appeared in a webisode of ABC’s Very Small Business and an episode of the ABC’s The Librarians.

Deborah Frances-White (How Almost Anyone Can Become an Overnight Celebrity (UK)): Back from the UK after last year's success "How to Get Almost Anyone to Want to Sleep With You," a British comedian and writer who has played three sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Festival

Lou Sanz (Dear Lou, I Thought we Agreed Not to Talk About This): The Skirt Network co-founder and RAW finalist, won a full scholarship from Columbia TriStar and Sony to complete a Masters in Screenwriting at AFTRS, writer on SBS for Life Support and world famous blogger.

Claire Hooper (Forget Your Troubles C'mon Get Hoopsy): Team Captain on Good News Week, Rove, regular segments on ABC TV´s The Sideshow, several appearances on The Comedy Channel´s Stand Up!, 2007 MICF Great Debate, Comedy Zone, won "Best and Fairest" at the National Improvisation Championships in Sydney.

Wendy Little and Emily O'Louglin (The Middle Ages):
Wendy Little: a founding member of musical comedy trio The Sheryls, produced, performed and written shows for twelve Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, appeared on The Great Debate, Upfront 8, Channel 31 (Champagne Comedy, Hellbent, The Comic Box), Glued to the Telly (ABC), The Footy Show and heard on the radio (Triple J, 3RRR, 3PBS, 3AK, Southern FM).

Emily O'Louglin: a National Winner RAW Comedy 2001, Channel 7’s AM Adelaide, 2nd nationally in the Greenfaces comedy competition 2002, Adelaide’s MMM Radio, Aussie feature movie The Honourable Wally Norman

Stella Young has been doing great things in stand-up, fresh from the RAW State Finals!
