Twin Peaks (Canada)

Doug Cox, Artistic“Go see them in an intimate performance while you can, once the word gets out about this talented young duo you’ll wish you had. Go see them!” Director - Vancouver Island Music Fest

You don’t have to listen long to grasp the beauty in the blended voices of Western Canadian Music Award-winning folk/roots duo Twin Peaks (Naomi Shore and Lindsay Pratt). But when you experience their live show you’ll realise that their music is about something much more captivating than just a catalogue of clever songs. It’s the expression of a rare kind of harmony that exists between their spirits – that’s what makes Twin Peaks so infectious and unforgettable.

Their heartfelt songs open a door and invite you in to take a glimpse at what it might be like to live and love in their remote Northern home of Fort St. John, BC, and to imagine the adventures you could have touring tirelessly back and forth across the country. Dreamy melodies and mighty choruses flow seamlessly throughout their graceful ballads and persuasive grooves; each one casting a charmingly subtle golden-age-of-country and classic-pop afterglow. Perhaps what makes it all so welcoming is the duo’s unpretentious wit and refreshingly honest stage banter. They make you feel like you’ve finally been reunited with a long-lost friend.

From the Vancouver Island Music Fest to the Winnipeg Folk Festival and at a countless array of festivals, clubs and other venues in between, Twin Peaks continue to steal fans’ hearts everywhere they go. In 2012 they earned a top-ten spot in CBC Radio 3’s Tracks on Tracks contest, and in 2014 the group rose to the national finals in the CBC Searchlight contest. They’ve taken home a Vancouver Island Music Award for BC Wide Artist of the Year, and both of their albums have been nominated for Western Canadian Music Awards. In 2015 their album, Trouble, won the Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Duo/Group Recording of the Year.

Rosie Burgess

Sometimes it’s hard to fit people into boxes and Rosie Burgess is no exception. Sliding from folk to blues to gypsy-roots and back, she crosses more genres than state borders, giving off "more energy than an illegally sparked firecracker" [Drum Media, Sydney], whilst still maintaining her unmistakable flavour.

Rosie has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the world’s finest artists, firmly securing a place for herself as a festival favourite, both in Australia and North America, at festivals such as California World Fest, Calgary Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and more.

Sharing her passion for the road and adventure, alongside her love of music, she has already won herself a veritable army of loyal fans across the globe.

With the 2017 release of EP Handful, Part Two, and accompanying video clip for the single, Run Through The Fire, gathering huge support, Rosie is enjoying some time out of the studio and back on the road!
