If you haven't heard of Gallie until now you're in for a real musical awakening.... If you like artists like Billy Bragg, Tom Waits, John Martyn or Wilco, then it is time to embrace the musical talents of Gallie.

With his amazing debut album the Occoquan River, Gallie has a remarkable talent of imagery that can transport you from the bloody battlefields of the American Civil War to the soft comfort of your lovers bed within the length of one tune.

Gallie's shows are like no other, he has the capacity to reach a large audience on a one to one level and make a large room seem like a small venue, due to the warmth that he brings through his songs and story telling. The stories are sometimes comical, sometimes tragic but the delivery is always from the heart.

His songwriting speaks for itself with critics hailing his album 'The Occoquan River' in their top albums of the year. Gallie has been drawing large crowds to his gigs over the last year and has been a favourite at a number of festivals including Queenscliff Music Festival, Portarlington Celtic Festival, Yackandandah Folk Festival, St Albans Folk Festival and Maleny Music Festival.

“One of the outstanding releases this year....The Occoquan River is brilliant.” Paul Gough, The Inside Sleeve, ABC Radio National.

"Sublime lyrics, tremendous melodies, sung by a singer with a voice that is both soulful and incredibly expressive.....One of my favourite records of 2015 by an artist from any country"  Micheal Park, The International Americana Show, Fm Radio, New York City

“The Occoquan River is one of the best songs of the year – Australian or International.” Brian Wise, Off The Record, Triple R

"Every track on The Occoquan River is carefully yet simply crafted, as if each has come to him effortlessly, organically and fully formed. The crown jewel of the album is the title track: a truly haunting, mournful piece." Lukas Murphy, theMusic ★★★★☆

"Surfcoast artist Gallie has delivered a brilliant release in The Occoquan River. At first, it sounds like easy to hear folk music but combine this with a killer story and you have the masterful art of Gallie and the Occoquan River." Tex Miller, Forte Magazine

Renowned for his captivating live shows and 'superbly crafted songs dragged up from the depths of the soul', award-winning singer-songwriter Rich Davies is one of Melbourne’s most authentic and engaging folk rock artists.

Son of a folk singer, Davies spent his formative years in folk clubs, steeped in the culture, ethos and traditions of the genre. The evolution of his new sound has seen him reconnect with that world. The music echoed this journey as he peeled back the skin of rock’n’roll to expose folk, country and blues bones; his Scottish roots weaving their way through acoustic story-songs with unmistakable passion.

With a poet's heart and rocker's soul, Davies spent his formative years in Scottish folk clubs steeped in the ethos of the genre, and his second album, Ghosts, has seen him reconnect with that world.

"Think Springsteen meets The Pogues, glorious and visceral folk music with a dark undercurrent"  Post To Wire

"Beautiful... Captivating"  Paul Gough, ABC Radio National's Inside Sleeve

"A rousing and visceral foot-stomping contemporary folk attack" Mick Thomas, Weddings Parties Anything
