It’s a no-brainer that keeping Melbourne's diverse community radio stations on air is vital for the soul of our city, but them bills, they gotta get paid.  To help out, a posse of much-loved community radio presenters are putting on a big, bold night to raise funds for 3CR.

From doors, Kate Reid and Suzy Steininger bring their 3CR Lazy Wednesday Afternoon show to Thursday evening to get us in the mood.

Next up, the official launch of the second edition of Ian McFarlane's The Encyclopedia of Australian Rock and Pop – the most comprehensive guide to the bands and artists who molded the shape of Australian popular music from 1956 to 2016 – and including a Q&A with Ian and Michael Helms (Fatal Visions, Film Buffs' Forecast 3RRR ).  Buy a copy on the night and a % will be donated to 3CR too.

Then Fiona Scott-Norman gives a rare return performance of her acclaimed show, The Needle and The Damage Done,  a joyous romp through a top ten of the worst records ever released in the history of the world. This show is a deadpan treat, leading the audience through a minefield of artistic and sociological musical gaffes. For vinyl lovers, and haters. The funniest, and most awkwardly embarrassing 70 minutes you'll ever experience.

And will our joy never end?  To round out your trifecta of music-appreciation, Clem Bastow, Casey Bennetto, Scott Edgar and Christos Tsiolkas take to the stage with an unleashed and upfront version of their free association radio show, Superfluity 3RRR.

With ringmaster Jonathan Alley (Under the Sun 3RRR) keeping everyone on track, join us for this jam-packed night of goodness and share your passion for music (of all kinds) PROUD and OUT LOUD!
