Event Duration: 180 minutes

Recently returned from a national tour with Mick Thomas & The Roving Commission, Rich Davies & The Low Road are thrilled to bring their new album, Ghosts, to life at the Bella Union, featuring special guests.

Recorded with Melbourne producer,  Myles Mumford (Kim Salmon, Mikelangelo), Ghosts marks a departure from the colossal sound of Davies' debut album The Devil’s Union, in favour of a more intimate and stripped-back approach.

The highly acclaimed first single 'Dirt Under My Nails' - a tribute to the working class, Italian immigrants of Melbourne - has recently been covered by seminal Australian folk band, The Bushwhackers.

Equal parts fragile and fierce, Rich Davies & The Low Road will take you through tender ballads to upbeat foot-stompers as they celebrate the release of Ghosts in a one-off show for Melbourne audiences.

Spinning record before and after the show will be DJ Bobby McGee.

"Beautiful... Captivating" Paul Gough, ABC Radio National

"A rousing and visceral foot-stomping contemporary folk attack" Mick Thomas

Supported by James Kenyon and band

James Kenyon is a Melbourne based, Adelaide-raised, singer songwriter. Following in the tradition of Don Walker and Paul Kelly, Kenyon threads narrative through music to tell Australian stories from a unique perspective and distinct voice.

Songs of broad plains, bright sun, grit of bitumen and the exhilaration of speed, they traverse regret, grief and hope, and sing of those who do not go gently into that good night.
