Melbourne based band, Terrasur releases their first self-titled EP Terrasur. This short album includes four original songs and one Victor Jara special cover. The songs are inspired by the rhythms and textures of Latin American traditional music, including also its typical musical instrumentation, with traditional instruments from these culture as the Charango (a small Andean stringed instrument of the lute family), the Qena (traditional Andean flute), Zampoña (commonly known as Pan flute) and Bombo Legüero (wooden / cow skinned bass drum).

Terrasur takes you to a journey to South America with this first EP, a suite of songs that capture a full repertoire of different emotions talking about the happiness of simple things as singing, travelling, missing home, about respect and how we can all live in harmony in a multicultural society.

This will be a special night, a real Carnaval, with the support of a traditional Brazilian Zamba band, Wombatuque and a special guest DJ to keep you dancing until late.

DOORS OPEN @ 8.30PM ~ SET 1 @ 9.00PM ~ SET 2 @ 10:15PM

DJ from 11.30PM until late - $10 @ the door for latecomers!
