About Us
Bella Union's association with historic Trades Hall started with the premiere season of KEATING! The Musical in March 2005, progressed to four seasons as a lively independent comedy festival hub between 2006 and 2009 before becoming a year 'round proposition in late 2007 when Bella Union became the name of Trades Hall's licensed venue.
Maintaining an interest in having a diverse offering, Bella Union continued as a performance space and casual bar, programming live music, film screenings, fundraisers, private parties, live comedy, forums, book launches, conferences and just about everything else you can think of.

We hosted our last gig at Trades Hall on Saturday 21st October, 2017 Loving Cup: A Celebration of the songs of the Rolling Stones and raised over $9,000 for two very important local organisations - Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and Launch Housing.
Now based in the idyllic Hepburn Shire in Central Victoria, we expect to produce the odd event in other people's venues from time to time, just to keep our eye in. So far, this includes the annual tradition that is A Swingin' Bella Christmas ... at the Spotted Mallard, Melba Spiegeltent and Palais-Hepburn.
